Welcome to Ringer. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Ringer mobile application and website at www.findmyringer.co.uk (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Scott Bromley ("we," "us," or "our").
Ringer is a platform that connects social sports teams who need substitute players ("ringers") with players looking for games to join. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.
You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation (e.g., a sports team or club), you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

Ringer is a matching and communication platform. We provide:
The Service is currently provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid features, subscriptions, or pricing changes in the future. If we do so, we will provide reasonable notice before any charges apply to your account.
We do not guarantee that you will find a substitute player for your team or that you will be accepted to play in any game. Ringer facilitates connections between users, but the decision to accept or decline an application rests entirely with the posting team captain.
You are responsible for all content you submit through the Service, including game postings, applications, messages, and profile information ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and store your User Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service.
You agree not to use the Service to:
Violation of this Acceptable Use policy may result in immediate termination of your account.
If you are accepted to play in a game, you are expected to attend. Repeatedly failing to show up to games you have been accepted for, or posting games you do not intend to honour, may result in account suspension or termination.
The Service uses location data to provide location-based matching. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of location data as described in our Privacy Policy. You may set an approximate home location and travel radius in your profile to control how games are matched to you.
You are responsible for ensuring that the location data you provide for game postings is accurate. Posting games with deliberately incorrect location data is a violation of these Terms.
By enabling push notifications, you consent to receiving notifications about new games, application updates, and messages. You may disable push notifications at any time through your device settings. Disabling notifications may affect your experience of the Service, as you will not be alerted to new games or messages in real time.
All content, design, graphics, logos, trademarks, and software associated with the Service are owned by or licensed to Ringer and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Ringer is a platform that facilitates connections between users. We are not responsible for the conduct, actions, or behaviour of any user, whether online or offline. You acknowledge that you interact with other users at your own risk. We strongly recommend exercising caution and good judgement when meeting other users in person.
Ringer facilitates participation in physical sports activities. By using the Service to find or join games, you acknowledge that physical sports carry inherent risks of injury. You participate in all games entirely at your own risk. We are not responsible for any injuries, accidents, or damages that occur during or in connection with any game arranged through the Service. You should ensure you are physically fit to participate and have appropriate insurance cover.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Ringer, its owner, employees, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service.
Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed £100. This limitation applies regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise).
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Ringer, its owner, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, your User Content, your violation of these Terms, your participation in any game arranged through the Service, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Reasons for termination may include, but are not limited to:
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Sections relating to Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law shall survive termination.
We strive to maintain the availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice. We shall not be liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Before initiating any formal proceedings, you agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute by contacting us at scottbromley17@gmail.com to seek an informal resolution.
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you (e.g., via a notice on the Service or push notification). Your continued use of the Service after the revised Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Ringer regarding your use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and communications, whether written or oral.
